Welcome to Currents. We are a quarterly newsletter exploring the cultural and environmental impact of and on our bodies of water. Our first issue dives into the San Antonio and Medina Rivers, the major water sources in our hometown.

 I provide an introduction to the rivers before diving into some statistics on their environmental condition. Readers use this information to better understand how these issues affect various communities discussed in later pages. My goal is to foster a relationship between the reader and nature and spread awareness on the issues our environment is facing.
