Saru Springs

/ web / branding

Nagano, Japan is home to the most Nothern living monkeys in the world, the Japanese macaque. Saru Springs is a conservation park dedicated to protecting these amazing monkeys and their home. The logomark combines the towering Japanese red pine that cover the Nagano forest and traditional pagoda architecture of temples surrounding the park.

The brand uses strong lines and warm colors to highlight the park’s beautiful landscape and welcoming environment. Secondary logos are used to identify the park’s various areas to make information and directions more clear.

The park uses a responsive website with clear layouts and lots of photography to share everything they have to offer. Users can read about park history and activities, buy tickets, apply to their conservation internship, and read park updates. (This website was built using a now expired domain and I’m currently working to re-upload it).
